Taking the leap
Hey everyone, it’s been awhile hasn’t it?
Sorry I left you hanging for a few weeks, classic procrastination.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about what I truly want out of life.
What I want… is to tell stories.
And to be one of the best, it doesn’t hurt to learn from the best.
I want to become an actor that people in the disabled community can look too and say, “if he can do it then I can too!”
This is a long winded way of saying, I’m finally taking the leap and applying to drama school.
I love learning, more accurately I love training, being trained in an art or craft, rather than reading a textbook, that’s my style of learning.
I just want to become someone who can increase his empathy by walking in other people’s shoes.
I want to defy the systems notion that people like me don’t have worthwhile stories to tell.
I’d like to one day go up to my idols and say: “I’m here because of you, thank you for gifting me a dream”
Now make no mistake.
My goal isn’t Hollywood.
My goal is to tell a story that can make people smile when that seemed impossible, my goal is to show disabled people that we belong here!
My goal is to make something that inspires people to do something good, even if it’s only one person.
I may have barely any qualifications, but screw that!
I’ll find a way, I have to believe I will!
I may be being a little too optimistic, but guess what?!
I’m…
Forever a fool…
